A hands-on Information Architect, Interaction Designer, and User Experience Designer. Have worked in both agency and client-side environments. Have designed for both B2C and B2B customer relationships. Including employee facing enterprise platforms, web applications and intranets. With a passion for content/data strategy. An avid champion of the User Centered Design approach to deliver validated simplistic solutions to complex task completion.

In 2014 I was contracted to provided an extensive internal and external user research analysis of 4culture – King County’s Arts, Heritage, Preservation and Public Art grants funding agency – in preparation for a complete redesign of their website 4culture.org. Provided serial stakeholder presentations. Provided interactive design concepts to demonstrate navigation structures based on research findings and business objectives. Created a robust content strategy that utilized existing work flows to minimize disruption. In 2016 I was brought back into the project prior to development to provide a heuristic of the internal design teams interpretations of my initial concepts and findings.

4Culture provides four funding program areas; arts, heritage, historic preservation, and public art—put public resources to use all over King County (Seattle). Using Lodging Tax and 1% for Art funds, their team of grant-makers, cultural advocates, advisory committees, and volunteer peer review panelists support a diverse array of cultural endeavors. Working to ensure access to cultural experiences for all, from museum collections to theater productions to artists showing work in our gallery.


Energy monitoring start-up (consultant 2014)
I worked with a start-up in the live energy monitoring industry. Working directly with the CEO and lead developer contributing UX principles and patterns working from their DEV prototypes. Provided Axure wireframe prototypes. I wish I could show my work from this project.


T-Mobile
November, 2014 – May 2016, Seattle (contract)

Lead User Experience Designer
Founding member of a new cross discipline UX design team assigned to T-Mobile’s engineering department responsible for implementing proprietary web applications. Designated to the analysis and new product design of the cellular network status monitoring platform. Delivered proven coverage/device matrix interface for real-time call center queries and upsells. Designed personalized, push notification mobile application for field technicians on-the-ground work flow. Provide Axure interactive user testing prototypes, stakeholder presentations and annotated wireframes for QA.

T-Mobile is the 3rd largest wireless carrier in the United States with 65.5 million customers as of Q1 2016. The German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom (DT) is its majority shareholde. T-Mobile introduced a major overhaul of its plan structure, marketed by branding themselves as being “the Un-carrier”.

We won The ‘Big M’ B2B Award in 2013 New Media for The Seattle Times Mediakit site – View Big M Award announcement

The Seattle Times, has more than 5 million unique visitors per month to their online network, which includes seattletimes.com and marketplace sites, NWjobs, NWautos and NWhomes. It is the largest daily newspaper in the state of Washington with a circulation of over 250,000. The Times reporting has received nine Pulitzer Prizes. It has an international reputation for its investigative journalism.

User Experience Designer
Interaction design for retail ecommerce web site. With a focus on quick succession Q4 checkout conversion enhancements. Other projects include: addition of a new specialty brand ‘Sport Shop’, ‘Store Locator’ API upgrade, ‘Error Messaging’ audit, analysis and resolutions, ‘No Search Results’ content additions and presentation enhancements, ‘Free Shipping’ promotion code use cases and ‘Product Page’ concepts based on user testing results and competitor analysis.

Closely assist in usability testing of functionality and resolution support for various research projects. Provide user experience patterns, annotated wireframes and behavior specifications for implementation. Contribute substantial support on QA testing, issue logging and tracking. Work directly with and lead internal and 3rd party developers, project managers and analysts from requirements through design, specifications presentations, issue resolution and final implementation.

Eddie Bauer, is a specialty outdoor brand that offers signature outerwear; men’s and women’s clothing, gear and accessories; and world-class mountaineering gear. All built to one standard: to be the best. A specialty retailer with approximately 370 stores throughout the US and Canada, catalogs, web sites, and joint ventures in Germany and Japan.

Information Architect
Information Architecture for the integration of a new mobile developers API catalog and 3rd party development platform service from ‘Apigee’ for AT&T which went live in January 2012 (developer.att.com). My role included: requirements gathering through conducting on-site client workshops and review sessions with cross discipline business stakeholders. Provide navigation structures, flowcharts, sitemaps and wireframes. Work closely with AT&T leads and iSoftStone’s internal user experience design team.

iSoftStone is a leading China-based provider of outsourced technology services, including IT consulting & solutions, IT outsourcing services and business process outsourcing services.

Information Architect
Lead Information Architect for the addition of SharePoint Intranet hub templates. My role assisted in conducting on-site workshops to establish business requirements for a client in the financial services sector. I provided scenarios, content strategy, navigation structures, flowcharts, sitemaps and annotated wireframes.

Microsoft Advertising – adCenter – pubCenter – Graphic designer III
A contract role to assist in the interaction design for enhancements to the online advertising end-users account management tools and dashboards. Worked closely with research providing click-by-click test prototypes and resolutions recommendations. Provided product managers with UX behavior specifications, graphic design guidelines, redlines and final assets for implementation.

Microsoft’s adCenter is a robust collection of online advertising campaign creation and reporting tools for placement in Bing, Yahoo!, and MSN search results.

Provided as-needed freelance consultancy. Worked on-site at a leading online advertising company, Marchex, to produce designs and data-visualization concepts for enhancements to their online reputation management product. And provided multiple designs for a dynamic automotive domain vertical.

Information architecture and user interface design for the redesign of an ecommerce web site and backend client management tools supporting three currencies, six languages, and three digital asset types. Oversaw small team of permanent and contract web designers and vendors. Conducted usability study design, recruitment, moderation, analysis and final report presentation.
